Always nice and well suited as a hiking destination

This is traditional and high quality food made from local produce. This is a must-try if you are in the area. Just make sure that you come at the right time. Lunch for example can only be ordered between 12 - 2 PM and it is worth a try. One thing that may be a little confusing at first is that you order lunch normally at the table but all drinks you order, pick-up and pay yourself at the counter.

We were here for the umpteenth time today. In glorious weather we have lunch here after a two-hour hike. There was roast venison with red cabbage and dumplings. It was like always very, very good !!! After a "digestive walk" we also ate the most delicious home-baked cake and drank coffee here. And although everything was occupied, the service was extremely friendly and polite. Also at the drinks and cake counter you were served very friendly. As always: no panic, no hassle !! We hope the Eichelbacher Hof will open its doors for a long time to hikers and nature lovers.

For the first time been there. Great deer roast eaten, great atmosphere, nice crowd. Always happy.

Has only twice a week. The visit is well worth it, everything made and the cake you can eat after the round trip.

On the way to the restaurant: You think you drive wrong, but it is a bit out of the way, almost an insider tip. But surprised the restaurant with traditional German cuisine at really reasonable prices. And that with luscious portions, which are deliciously prepared. Unfortunately only open on Wednesdays and Sundays.

One of the best place I have ever been for lunch in the Taunus Mountains. My wife and I miss something like this in America ! It won't be the last time. See you again next year when we come back to old Hessenland from Florida USA
